DON'T TURN OFF THE LIGHT, BREAK INTO THE FIGHT

A victim of gender violence needs to be backed. Helped by their sorrounding. She has to notice that there is always an open light near her, since this allows other people to observe what is really happening and allows to act to protect the victim, because if it's turned off the victim could be assaulted again. We don't have to turn a blind eye. We have to act. We have to help. There are never excuses when it comes to support a person, because this help is for someone whose life is in danger. We can't take this risk, turn off the light and pretend it's nothing.

A flat as a society, a woman being isolated, forced to clean, and attacked by her partner. She shouts and it seems as if nobody matters, “it must have been the wind” says one of her neighbours, and everybody passes over it. It can be difficult to take the plunge if she is already a victim of gender violence, and it’s not only their job to get away from her aggressor. All of us should act if we find out that someone in our reach needs help to get out of the vicious circle. Our campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of everybody to call 016 if it's seen a case of gender violence. It might just seem like a phone call, but it's your help to save her life.
We have to show empathy to each other constantly. We have to help each other whenever we need it. If we know that next to our gate there may be someone who is having a bad time and putting their life at risk, let us not act in the wrong way. Let us not think that the noises we hear may have been the wind. Let us be brave. Let's get into the fight. Let nothing else happen again if we know that our neighbours are in danger, all because we did not turn on our light at the right time. Never again let there be only one open light around us.
